About Fairtrade
Fairtrade means that farmers and producers get a fair price for their products and that they have safe and healthy working conditions. Plus they receive a Fair Trade premium to spend in their local community.
Fairtrade certified producers work to strict environmental protection standards. These include the prohibition of harmful agrochemicals, and ensuring that water is used sustainably and that biodiversity is encouraged. In addition the Fairtrade premium is often spent on projects and training to support environmental sustainability. For example, switching to organic production. At Fairtrade Horsham’s stall you can find out more about why buying Fairtrade is one of the most important steps you can take to help save the planet.
Our new MP John Milne opened the Market at 10am. Father Christmas was on hand to welcome all visitors to the Fairtrade Market, especially the little ones!
Have a Fairtrade Christmas!!
