Choose Fairtrade

Fairtrade is the most recognised and trusted sustainability label working to make trade fairer for the people who grow our food.

A product with the FAIRTRADE Mark means farmers, workers and businesses have met internationally agreed standards which have been independently audited and certified.

Many of the people who grow our food aren’t paid or treated fairly for their work, making it harder for them to access basic human rights, build secure livelihoods and plan for the future.

The climate emergency is already hitting them hard. Even though they did the least to cause it. Crops are failing, extreme weather ruining harvests and plant diseases caused by the changing climate are ever more common.

Fairtrade works alongside farmers and workers to ensure they earn a fairer price, are able to invest in their communities, protect our shared environment and take action to adapt to the climate crisis that threatens their future.

Fairtrade Products

There are now more than 5,000 Fairtrade products in the UK, including: coffee, tea, sugar, cocoa, bananas, flowers, rice, quinoa, wine, cotton and gold. When you shop look for the FAIRTRADE Mark and Fairtrade Ingredient mark.

Brew It Fair

Like all of us, the people growing our tea deserve to be able to plan for their futures, and to protect themselves from the impacts of climate change. We are asking the UK government to Brew it Fair, to protect human rights, collaborate for change and honour their international climate finance commitment.
